What customers ask before buying a garden sauna kit.
Does a barrel sauna need a foundation?
No. A level, firm base is enough — paving, patio slabs, or gravel with slabs. No concrete foundation is needed.
Do I need planning permission?
Small garden saunas often do not need permission, but the rules differ by area and by how close you build to a boundary. Check with your local council (planning authority), and ask in writing if you want certainty. A wood-fired stove with a flue may bring extra requirements.
Can I really assemble it myself?
Yes. All parts are prefabricated and fitted at the factory, and step-by-step instructions with drawings are in the box. Two adults usually need about two days the first time. You need a cordless screwdriver, a hammer, a spirit level and a stepladder.
What if I would rather not build it?
You can ask a local tradesperson, or order assembly by our crew as an extra, from 1 390 €. The price applies to a ready, level and firm base; on unprepared ground we quote individually.
What is included in the price?
The kit with all its parts, instructions and delivery to Latvia. The stove is chosen separately and added to the price.
How is the kit delivered?
On a pallet of about 240 × 120 × 120 cm and roughly 800 kg, by a haulier with a tail-lift lorry, to the kerb or the entrance of your property. Two people unload the parts and carry them to the place of assembly.
How long does delivery take?
Making the kit takes 4 to 6 weeks, plus about a week for delivery. We confirm the date a few days before.
Wood-fired or electric stove?
Wood-fired — atmosphere and no dependence on the mains, but it needs a flue. We recommend the Etna 12 with external loading. Electric (Harvia) — switch on and wait, but it needs a suitable supply installed by a qualified electrician.
What warranty do I get?
12 months on the structure. Stoves carry their manufacturer's warranty. The timber needs treating on the outside once a year.
How do I pay, and what about VAT?
A 30% deposit when you order, the balance before the kit is dispatched. You receive an invoice. Prices include 21% Latvian VAT.
